Locked Bosch ECUs on late-model BMWs have been a headache for many shops. KESS3 Upgrade 3.44 strengthens BMW Group coverage with new bench protocols for the locked Bosch MD1CP032, MD1CS001, MG1CS024, MG1CS049 and MG1CS201, part of the DDE8 and DME8 generations.
The release covers a long list of current gas and diesel BMW and Mini models, from premium compacts and sedans to SUVs and BMW M cars.
The big advantage is how you connect: on the bench, straight from the ECU connector, without opening the unit. Compared with invasive methods, that cuts complexity and risk, so working on protected Bosch ECUs becomes more direct and safer.
What your shop gains
- Direct bench work on locked ECUs
- Safer handling of the latest ECUs
- New work on recent BMW and Mini models
- Support for DDE8 and DME8 Bosch ECUs for gas and diesel engines
- Wider coverage of performance vehicles
The protocols are available now to KESS3 users with CAR BENCH/BOOT activation and an active subscription.
