Right after launching the KESS3 Unlock Module, Alientech added the next step. KESS3 Upgrade 3.51 brings bench protocols you can use once a Bosch MDG1 locked ECU has been unlocked, making the workflow faster and safer.

The release covers the same ECUs already supported in boot unlock mode: MD1CS003, MD1CS069, MD1CP007, MD1CS012, MG1CS042, MD1CS004 (HW80), MG1CS031, MD1CP006, MD1CS005 and MG1CS002, used on a wide range of gas and diesel vehicles from 2021 on.

How it works

First, unlock the ECU: use the Unlock Module to access the unit and run the boot unlock procedure, which applies the required patch. After that, you can connect directly at the ECU connector and work in bench mode without opening it again.

What your shop gains

  • Unlock protected ECUs in-house
  • Direct bench access after the unlock
  • Complete ECU backups
  • Smoother repeat work on late-model cars, light commercial vehicles, heavy trucks and tractors

The Unlock Module is the starting point that makes later jobs quicker and lets you handle some of the most requested Bosch MDG1 ECUs on your own.

These protocols require CAR BENCH/BOOT activation and an active subscription, and the Unlock Module is required for the boot unlock step.

Coverage

The vehicle list matches the Unlock Module release, including the Ford F-250 through F-550 Super Duty, Genesis G70, G80, GV70 and GV80, Hyundai Palisade, Kia Sorento and Stinger, Land Rover and Range Rover models, Porsche Cayenne, Macan and Panamera, Bentley Bentayga and Flying Spur, and a long list of Audi and VW models.
