Professional equipment gets more KESS3 coverage with Upgrade 3.61, which adds a boot unlock protocol for the locked Bosch MD1CE101. This ECU is fitted to a wide range of current heavy trucks, farm machinery and generators.
The first job is to open the ECU and unlock it in boot mode with the KESS3 Unlock Module accessory, applying the required patch. After that, you can always use the existing protocols, over OBD from the diagnostic socket or on the bench from the ECU connector, without opening the unit again.
That means you can use KESS3 on the latest ECUs in trucks, tractors, combines, wheel loaders, graders, telehandlers and other recent professional machines powered by FPT engines.
