Locked Bosch MDG1 ECUs no longer have to leave your shop. KESS3 Upgrade 3.50 adds new protocols for these protected units and introduces a dedicated accessory: the KESS3 Unlock Module.
The module is built to run the unlock procedure in your own shop on the MD1CS003, MD1CS069, MD1CP007, MD1CS012, MG1CS042, MD1CS004 (HW80), MG1CS031, MD1CP006, MD1CS005 and MG1CS002. Once unlocked, the ECU can be programmed in boot mode, with access to its memory for reading, writing and a full backup.
That opens up a wide range of diesel and gas vehicles with protected ECUs built from 2021 to today, from commercial vehicles to high-performance cars and SUVs.

How to get it
The KESS3 Unlock Module is listed in the Dashboard under KESS3 accessories. The protocols require CAR BENCH/BOOT activation and an active subscription, and the module is needed to perform the boot unlock.
