KESS3 Upgrade 3.68: BOOT Unlock and BENCH Support for Locked Bosch MD1CS089 ECUs

Alientech KESS3 Upgrade 3.68

Alientech KESS3 Upgrade 3.68

Good news for KESS3 users: Alientech's Upgrade 3.68 adds new BOOT Unlock and BENCH protocols for locked Bosch MD1CS089 ECUs, found on late-model agricultural tractors, orchard tractors and pickups built from 2021 onward.

What's new

The new BOOT Unlock protocol lets you unlock a protected MD1CS089 ECU using KESS3 together with the KESS3 Unlock Module accessory, enabling read and write operations. Once the ECU has been unlocked in BOOT, you can read and write it in BENCH mode directly through the connector, without opening the ECU again. That makes follow-up jobs simpler and gives your shop more flexibility.

Benefits for your shop

  • Unlock the ECU in-house using BOOT Unlock and the KESS3 Unlock Module
  • Read and write locked Bosch MD1CS089 ECUs
  • Work in BENCH mode after the initial BOOT unlock, with no need to reopen the ECU

Technical focus

  • Connections: BOOT Unlock; BENCH (after BOOT Unlock)
  • ECU: Bosch MD1CS089 (locked)
  • Production years: 2021 and later
  • Brands covered: Deutz, Lamborghini Tractors, SAME, Weihang, JAC Motors

Supported vehicles

  • Deutz 5 Series
  • Lamborghini Tractors Spire
  • SAME Dorado, Explorer, Frutteto
  • Weihang WHP5043XLJ
  • JAC Motors T9

What it means for US shops

Most of the platforms in this update are European tractors and Chinese pickups, so not all of them are common on US roads or farms. If your shop does see Deutz, SAME or Lamborghini Tractors equipment, or any of the other listed models, this update gives you a direct way to handle locked MD1CS089 ECUs with the KESS3 you already own.
