The KESS3 Car LCV Activation bundle gives you the protocols to work with supported car and light commercial vehicle ECUs using both OBD and Bench-Boot methods. Choose the connection approach that suits the job, so you can work through the vehicle’s diagnostic port or connect directly to the ECU when it has been removed.

OBD activation lets KESS3 communicate with the ECU through the vehicle’s serial port connection, making it a practical option when the ECU can be accessed through the dash. Bench-Boot activation supports direct connection to the ECU hardware off the vehicle, giving you another route when an in-vehicle connection isn’t suitable.

Each activation covers the supported vehicles within its protocol group. Need coverage for vehicles in additional protocol groups? You’ll need to purchase those activations separately.
