The latest Magic Motorsport FLEX update, version 7.12.0.0, lets professional tuners unlock and remap Bosch MD1CS014 ECUs over OBD, breaking through anti-tuning protection on 2020-onward VAG 3.0L TDI vehicles that had been impossible to get past. Magic has also released an update covering VAG vehicles with 2.0 gasoline engines.
That means no more removing the ECU and no more slow bench tuning, just a direct OBD connection for safe, efficient programming. If you're in the tuning business, this is one to jump on.
Which Vehicles Can Now Be Tuned?
The breakthrough covers a range of high-performance diesels, including:
- Audi SQ5 3.0L 50TDI V6, 345 PS (about 340 hp)
- Audi Q8 3.0L 50TDI V6, 290 PS (about 286 hp)
- Volkswagen Touareg 3.0L 50TDI V6, 290 PS (about 286 hp)
- Audi A6, A8 and Q7 3.0L TDI variants
Once protected by some of the toughest anti-tuning measures around, these vehicles can now be programmed straight through OBD for performance tuning, economy remaps and custom calibrations.
