Heavy-Duty Coverage Arrives on FLEX
Magic Motorsport has added a new license to the FLEX tuning platform: FLS0.15, a package built specifically for heavy-duty vehicles. For pro tuners and commercial vehicle shops, it's a turning point, opening up a wider range of high-value vehicles with no separate tools or software add-ons required.
Starting now, FLEX users with the license can use full OBD, Bench, Boot and OBD Full protocols on the ECUs, TCUs and DCUs found in:
- Trucks
- Agricultural machinery
- Buses and coaches
- Construction equipment
- Industrial vehicles
That gives FLEX comprehensive coverage in one of the most demanding corners of tuning and ECU management.

Software Version 7.18.0.0: A Big Expansion
Launched alongside the license, FLEX software 7.18.0.0 adds 32 new protocols aimed squarely at the heavy-duty market, covering 23 different control units across a broad mix of OEMs and applications.
Support spans every access method (OBD, bench and boot), and there are some exclusive capabilities too:
- Bench-mode cloning for the DAF Delphi ETC3 (KWP)
- Exclusive real read access on the Bosch DCU17CV51 used in JCB machinery
It's a major step up in what FLEX can do in commercial and heavy vehicle work.

Brands in This Release
The update reaches vehicles from DAF, Scania, Mercedes (trucks and buses), Freightliner, JCB, Dodge, Iveco, Agrale and Kenworth.
That opens a whole new vehicle category without juggling multiple tool platforms or workarounds, a real commercial opportunity for shops that already do light-vehicle tuning and want to move into heavy-duty.
Which Licenses Include It?
You'll find the new heavy-duty protocols in:
- FLS0.5M: FLEX Full Master
- FLS0.5S: FLEX Full Slave
- FLS0.15M: FLEX Heavy-Duty OBD/Bench/Boot Master
- FLS0.15S: FLEX Heavy-Duty OBD/Bench/Boot Slave
New to FLEX or already on a Full Master setup, FLS0.15 extends what you can tune with no hardware upgrade.
What It Means for Your Business
In mixed commercial settings, where trucks, plant and ag equipment need regular calibration or repair, this release brings a big jump in workflow efficiency and coverage.
Instead of a patchwork of tools, software and files, FLS0.15 pulls access together into one unified system. Read, write, clone and restore a wide range of heavy-duty ECUs, whether the job is performance, fuel economy or diagnostics.
Keep Your Skills Ahead
If your team hasn't worked on heavy-duty ECUs yet, the Viezu Technical Academy runs training built around commercial vehicle tuning and FLEX tools.
