Porsche specialists working on late-model 911s have a new route into the Bosch MG1 ECU. Magic Motorsport's Flex software version 8.25.0.0 adds a Boot Glitch procedure that runs through KORHEX for Bosch MG1CP007 and MG1CS047 control units built around the TC299 processor.
What changed in Flex 8.25.0.0
These MG1 units could already be reached with Magic Motorsport's VFI (Voltage Fault Injection) technology. What's new is a KORHEX-based option: you connect straight to the TC299 processor, and you don't have to pull any components off the ECU board to do it.
The workflow has two stages. First, Flex and KORHEX unlock the ECU using the Boot Glitch method. After the unlock, you keep working in Flex Bench mode to carry out your programming tasks.
At a glance
- Working mode: Boot Glitch
- Memory operations: internal flash read/write/checksum, internal EEPROM read/write, and full backup
- Licensing: FLS0.20M/S or FLS0.5M/S
- Connection: about 30 seconds
- Read time: about 2 minutes 30 seconds
- Write time: about 2 minutes
License requirements
You'll need either the FLS0.20 Boot Glitch license or a Flex Full FLS0.5 configuration to use the new protocol.
